Abstract :

Since the UKPDS it became quite clear that macrovascular complications were quite common, meanwhile microvascular complications were quite uncommon in the most prevalent form of treated diabetics ?¢???? type 2 diabetes mellitus. And these hard end-points complications that mostly matter to patients are fatal and non-fatal myocardial infarctions, strokes, amputations, heart failure, cardiovascular diseases & cardiovascular deaths, end-stage renal disease, visual losses and neuropathy. Albeit All recent and large randomised clinical trials that have tried to bring glycemic control close to normal values have brought no added benefit in cardiovascular or all cause mortality; conversely since UKPDS 38 Tight Blood Pressure Control have provided significant reductions both in macro or microvascular diabetic complications. Hypertension is the most companion in all clinical series of diabetics, being present in 60-80% of patients and until today there are no consensus about core issues like Target BP levels, Best drug therapies, best 24 hr salt intake, ACE-Inhibitor therapy ?¢???? When and for Whom using it! The above issues will be the main goals of our talk.
