Abstract :

After 153 years, the Periodic Table again finds itself at a crossroads. Does it embrace the quantum mechanical fuzziness induced by Heisenberg, Schrodinger and Quantum Field Theory’s Uncertainty Principle or does it persevere with the emphasis on the interpretation of chemical properties in an essentially earth-bound laboratory? Boundary conditions of temperature, pressure and energy density give rise to many phases and states including condensed matter, plasma, particle physics and cosmology. Is the Periodic Table part of a wider story encompassing thermodynamics and local reversals of entropy in biochemical settings of abiogenesis, DNA evolution, vibronic mixing, superposition, entanglement, tunnelling and decoherence as well as plasma, fusion, nucleosynthesis and phenomena as yet unobserved down to the Planck scale as counter intuitively energy states appear to converge? Enter the Roberts-Janet Nuclear Periodic Table underwritten by Quantum Field Theory’s U (1) x SU (2) x SU (3) group symmetry and Clifford Algebra. The Periodic Table is inverted to accommodate spatial variation relative to the nucleus. The repeating patterns within the Table have been hiding in plain sight since 1934 courtesy of De Broglie’s interpretation of 2n2 as n(n+1) {Periodicity} + n(n-1) {Compressibility}. The Periodic Table is one of many generated by the Roberts-Janet Mechanism which produces identical independent sets of neutrons and protons in its lower half – Wigner’s magic numbers – in the ebb and flow of creation and annihilation of supernovae; each one producing its own unique Periodic Table as the ratio of isotopes for every element varies with each supernova.
