Custom analysis and service research for LEO satellite mobile communications system in the future

Abstract :

Based on the study of global developing trend of satellite mobile communications system, a research on the general status and actual requirements of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite mobile system was conducted. Among all the key factors which make a successful commercial space system, accurate research on target customs and their favorite services are more important. In terrestrial communications field, customs would like to look for mature, cost-effective system and its service provider. But in space communications field, by the reason of characteristics of different satellite systems, there is another situation. Through analysis of the advantages compared with GSO (geosynchronous) and other Non-GSO satellite mobile communications systems, the competition relation between LEO system and other space system was concluded, and the future scenarios for LEO satellite mobile communications system were also put forward considering custom perception and system��?s capacity. As a conclusion, a prospective of new custom clusters, potential services and their quantified parameters of future LEO satellite mobile communications system were made.
