Abstract :

The title is qestioning about the immune response of children against COVID-19. This question needs attention. It is a fact that COVID-19 clinical symptoms tend to be mainly milder and less severe in children than any other age group. But why? There are many reasons and theories to interpret this phenomenon. This presentation is designed to highlight all possible reasons why children are much resistant to COVID-19. Based on the results of these reasons and important points, people may make a decision whether they will need to vaccinate their kids or not and that is the main point for this presentation.

Biography :

Majid Mohammed Mahmood, DVM (hons), MSc Zoonotic Diseases, PhD Immunology, Univ of Nottingham, UK. He is expert number one in Iraq in COVID-19. Designed preventive (prophylactic) and therapeutic protocols to fight COVID-19 that decreases the mortality rate from 5% to about 2% and updated to give no deaths.
I started working in the field of Immunology since 2005 in the Lab of Immunology, College of Veterinary Medicine, and University of Baghdad, Iraq and continued working during my Master degree on Staph aureus immune response in bovine udder by making a trial vaccine in vitro and also applied it in mice. I continued in my PhD in the University of Nottingham, UK working on innate immunity by detecting Toll-like receptors on bovine PBMCs and focusing on T cells.
