Abstract :

The muscular phenomenon of Dr. Ciesielski is a means to program the muscles of the craniofacial region to a new occlusive situation imposed by the doctor. With this method, the patient does not feel practically any difference in the contacts of the teeth after the end of prosthetic treatment (see photos from before and after treatment). Prosthetic restoration of such destructive cases carries the risk of returning to the habitual contact of the teeth of the mandible and jaw, which would lead to the destruction of this work by the patient as a result of the lack of deprogramming. The repetitiveness of opening and closing the mouth proves that the muscular phenomenon is a physiological and repetitive solution. The craniofacial muscles are oxygenated, work on the correct anatomical lengths of muscle fibers and make the patient happy. Below is a clinical case of dysfunction adapted with lost short-circuit height, tooth clamping and grinding, frequent waking up at night without symptoms of falling into apnea. The patient additionally adapted to the rare parafunction of chewing oat grains with the front teeth, because in the interview he stated that he is vegan. The whole syndrome of dysfunctions of the masticatory organ located in the top floor, i.e. in the craniofacial area, was also joined by a postural defect, which is the body's response to these dysfunctions. A large part of the skeletal muscles responsible for proper posture is unused, some groups, like the deep muscles of the neck, cannot cope with keeping the head in the right position. The patient compensates for the upright posture with the correct position of the head so as not to fall over, bending the left knee with a simultaneous balanced position of the head in the vertical axis, which makes up for all the deficiencies in the muscles.

Biography :

In 1983, after completing his studies, PhD Jacek Ciesielski simultaneously started his practice and the first degree specialization in general dentistry, which he completed with honours in 1984. During his professional career he pursued his interest in modern solutions of conservative dentistry and prosthetics, as well as issues connected with the wide use of anesthetics in dental treatment. He visited clinics and research institutes in Switzerland, Germany and the United States, where he graduated with MBA in dentistry. In 2019 in KoÅ?obrzeg, he was a lecturer under the cycle of meetings "New Trends in Dentistry", for national consultants from all fields of dentistry in Poland. He conducts scientific research on the impact of cortisol levels on the human body and masticatory apparatus dysfunctions.
