Abstract :

Supplier auditing has recently emerged as one of the leading business practices. Working in the international arena; however, the dynamics have changed. Companies are now outsourcing their manufacturing to strategic partners across the globe. As a result, the supply chains have become very long, and may span several continents before reaching the consumer. The presentation will focus on soft skills and communication skills needed to conduct supplier auditing in a global economy, as well as addressing cultural differences and communication differences from audit initiation through audit closure to maximize its success. The presentation will include tips, tricks, and best practices.

Biography :

Jennifer Leny has completed an M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health. She has over 10 years of increasing responsibility working in quality within the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical industries. She currently serves as the chair of the American Society for Quality (Section 1217) and has been recognized by the American Society for Quality ?Who?s Who in Quality?. She has significant experience working internationally, and currently works as a global quality auditor within the pharmaceutical industry.
