Emergency departments (EDs) face growing volumes of patients presenting with psychiatric crises, leading to prolonged wait times and inconsistent care delivery. This research evaluates an AI-driven triage tool designed to rapidly assess risk and personalize care pathways using clinical, behavioral, and social data. Preliminary results show improved accuracy in priori tizing care urgency, reduced ED boarding time, and enhanced connections to outpatient services. Ethical considerations, bias mitigation strategies, and clinician acceptance are discussed, with plans for broader multisite implementation.
