Defense Management is a premier tri-Service institution imparting management training to officers of the Defence Services. CDM is entrusted with the responsibility of instilling contemporary management thoughts, concepts, and practices in the senior leadership of the three Services. Defense management simply refers to the idea that defense organizations need to turn defense policies into practice, and in doing so, to develop appropriate and sustainable planning mechanisms, support systems, and infrastructure. The action of defending, of protection from attack, danger, or injury. Something used to oppose the attack. An argument in support or justification of something. As the name indicates, defense services are needed to defend the country, its vital national interests, and values against external and internal (existing or potential) threats of armed aggression. In short, Armed Forces are imperative as the ultimate instrument of National Security.
