Biography

Aleksandar Georgiev Otsetov, a Urologist and researcher at Department of Uropathology at Norrland’s University Hospital, Umeå. He had received a MD from Medicine Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, 1989. He obtained The Residency in Urology at the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria; Specialty in urology obtained in 2002. He is Member of Sveriges läkarförbund, Bulgarian Medical Association, Member of the ediotorial board of American Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, International Journal of Laboratory Medicine & Research, Gavin Journal of Urology and Renal Diseases and Gavin Journal of Case Reports. He is having 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is Skilled in endoscopy, TURP, TURBT, TRUS PBx and other various urological operations.

1. In 2009-2010 fellowship in Oncologic Urology in Quebec, Canada under the supervision of Prof. Yves Fradet.

2. 2012-2014 research fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA under the supervision of Prof. Aria F. Olumi.

Research Interest

Benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, epigenetics and DNA methylation in urologic malignancies.
