Yen Sin Ang
J. David Gladstone Institutes
University of California, San Francisco, USA
Yen-Sin obtained his B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the National University of Singapore and his Ph.D. in Developmental & Stem Cell Biology from Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York, USA) under the tutelage of Ihor Lemischka. His graduate work focused on the elucidation of several histone modifiers involved in the regulation of embryonic stem cell self-renewal, lineage commitment and somatic cell reprogramming. He is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the lab. of Deepak Srivastava at the Gladstone Institute, UCSF. His current research interests are in cardiac development and using systems biology approaches to dissect the molecular underpinnings of congenital heart disease and associated cardiomyopathies.
