Dr. Xiangyang Miao is a Professor at Institute of Animal Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing. He performed his doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University. He also worked as a visiting professor at University of Guelph, Canada (2009), Harvard University and University of California, Davis, USA (2011-2012). He is an outstanding expert of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, including papers in Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. He has also applied for 10 domestic patents and 2 international patents.He is a principal investigator and academic leader which successively lead more than 40 projects.
Dr. Xiangyang Miao research area is molecular and developmental biology, functional genomics, and molecular breeding. His research interests currently focus on cloning and identification of new genes, transgenic animals, epigenomics, high throughput genomics, induced pluripotent stem cells, and molecular breeding.
