Biography

Over 20 years’ experience of theoretical and technical biochemistry, immunology, and toxicology, with the ability to deliver high quality R & D under the pressure of strict time-lines. Collaborative team player, and also able to drive projects forward by my own initiative with associated leadership skills. Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills. First class verbal and written skills, able to disseminate knowledge concisely by both oral presentation and production of experimental reports and publications. Flexible, enthusiastic, and pro-active problem solver. Established an independent research group with a focus upon protein post-translational modifications, cellular signaling and pathology. Attracted external research council and industrial funding for research projects, with results published in well-ranked research journals.
