Dr. Rajasekar is a biotechnologist with 20 years of R&D and industrial experience. He is currently working as Head – Research and Business development (Biotech division) at Fermenta Biotech Ltd, India. Qualified as M.Tech (Biotechnology) from Anna University, Chennai, India, he has also earned his Ph.D from Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague, Czech Republic. He is the inventor/co-inventor of several national and international patents and author of several scientific publications in the field of fermentation, enzyme engineering and biocatalysis.
Fermentation, Enzyme purification and immobilization, development of novel polymer supports for enzyme immobilization, biocatalysis mediated green processes for beta lactams and cephalosporin antibiotics, scale up of enzymatic processes.
