Biography

Dr. Nikolaos has received MD in Applied Genetics and Biotechnology Master degree dissertation in the IVF center of Geniki Kliniki., Thessaloniki.Title : Oocytes Cryopreservation, graduation mark: “9.2” excellent in 2003 . He received his Ph.D Doctoral Degree (DD) at 3rd University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, Ippokration General Hospital, Medical School, Aristotle University Thessaloniki in 2012. Ph. D. Dissertation: Isolation and characterization of pluripotent stem cells from the placental-cord blood unit. I m a resident training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Scientific Associate & Research Fellow, at Democritus General Hospital of Alexandroupoli , Greece. I have worked as research associate in the Department of Biological Chemistry, Medical School, Aristotle University Thessaloniki in the Department of Histology-Embryology, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in the department of the 3rd University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, Ippokration General Hospital, Medical School, Aristotle University Thessaloniki. Until now i m working as a research associate of Biohellenika Cord Blood and Tissue Bank. Author of more than 20 papers published in Greeks and in International peer-reviewed journals in the field of stem cells technology and stem cell banking, in the field of translational research, molecular and cell biology Attendant of numerous trainings of national and international conferences on obstetric gynaecology on stem cells and on regenerative medicine. His research work has been awarded many times in national and international level.
