Sumit Rawal

Biography

Dr. Sumit Rawal received his Ph.D. in Toxicology from Utah State University, USA and his Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Delhi, India. Dr. Rawal graduated with top honors from the Ph.D. program as a result of which he was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Presently he is a researcher at the University of Tennessee, Memphis and his research work involves Drug Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of novel drugs. Previously Dr. Rawal worked at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill as an Oncology Research fellow. Dr. Rawal has published over 20 several research articles and abstracts, and a book chapter on the topics of Drug/Xenobiotic Metabolism, Molecular and Biochemical Toxicology, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. He is involved in peer-review of research papers for 7 international scholarly journals. Currently Dr. Rawal is the elected member of the prestigious American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), Society of Toxicology (SOT), and 4 other organizations dedicated to the fields of Toxicology and Pharmacology. Additionally, Dr. Rawal also serves as the member of steering committee for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) - Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Research Pharmacometrics focus group.
