Santosh Kumar

Biography

Dr. Santosh Kumar has received his PhD in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Currently, he is working as an Associate professor in College of Pharmacy, University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His research has included HIV-1, substance abuse, especially alcohol and tobacco, drug metabolism, and cytochrome P450. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as Post-doctoral best paper award from ASPET. Based on his outstanding teaching and mentoring he has received “Teacher of the year award”. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals, as well as ad-hoc member of NIH study section. He have authored >50 peer-reviewed research articles/book chapters. He is a member of several professional society, as well as, he is the chair of “Early career investigator committee” in the Society of neuroimmune pharmacology.
