Dr. Murthy is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Dr. Murthy research objective is to develop noninvasive and technologies for drug sampling, delivery and treatment of diseases. He has several graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working in his research group
The research projects of Dr. Murthys group are funded by National Institutes of Health and Pharmaceutical companies. He has research collaborations within and outside of the United States. He is the Chief Editor of two books Dermatokinetics of therapeutic agents and Trans-ungual drug delivery which will be released shortly. In addition, he is serving on the Editorial board and Reviewers panel of over twenty-five journals. His research accomplishments and professional services have brought him recognitions from APhA, AAPS and MIT. He is also serving on the panel of grant reviewers for British Skin Foundation,UK, Wellcome foundation, UK and Department of Innovation, Government of Italy.
