Oumarou Savadogo (osavadogo@polymtl.ca) is Professor in Materials Sciences and Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. He earned a Science Doctorate in Physical Sciences at the Institute of Materials Sciences at Caen National University in France and a post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Interfacial Electrochemistry of National Science Research Centre at Bellevue in France. He joined the Materials Science and Engineering Programme at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal as a Senior Scientist and Professor. He is the Editor of the International Journal of New Materials for Electrochemical Systems’’ and the Chairman of the International Symposium of New Nano-materials for Electrochemical Systems. Hi is also the Director of the Laboratory New Materials for Electrochemistry and Energy (www.newmaterials.polymtl.ca).
His research interests lie in the area of electrochemical energy processes, new materials development for PEM Fuel Cell and for solar cells; corrosion of biomaterials, grafting of bio-molecules on modified surface of Bio-materials and bio-electrochemical behaviour of nano-materials. He is author and co-author of more than 145 original published papers and 6 patents (up to 2011).
