Morton Kissen has a doctorate in clinical psychology and is a licensed psychologist in NY State. He is a professor of psychology at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University. He is a psychoanalyst whose research and scholarly interests are in combining yoga and psychoanalysis to enhance the effectiveness of the psychotherapy process. He is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and, in addition to teaching at the doctoral, masters and under-graduate level at Adelphi, maintains a private practice in Forest Hills and Huntington NY.
