Dr. Mok is a senior consultant rheumatologist in the Department of Medicine, Tuen Mun Hospital and the director of the Center for Treatment of Rheumatic Diseases, Pok Oi Hospital, Hong Kong. He is also an honorary teaching professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Mok’s research interest is systemic lupus erythematosus and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis for which he has first-authored more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Mok is a reviewer of all main international Rheumatology journals, and 50 other nephrology and general medical journals. He has presented more than 199 abstracts in various international meetings, delivered more than 69 talks in different international conferences and symposia, and reviewed more than 330 research papers in different international journals.
Dr. Mok is the convener of the rheumatology group of the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong for service and drug development. He is also the chairman of the Research Committee of Tuen Mun Hospital and the Honorary Secretary and Program Director of the Rheumatology Accreditation Board of the Hong Kong College of Physicians. Dr. Mok is the immediate past president of the Hong Kong Society of Rheumatology and was a core member of the organizing committee for the APLAR 2010 meeting in Hong Kong.
