Long Wenxing

Biography

I am Wenxing Long. My colleagues and friends usually briefly call me Wenxing. I obtained my Ph. D. degree in Plant Ecology in Chinese Academy of Forestry, and now work as an associate professor in Hainan University. At present I am engaged in study of tradeoff in competition and facilitation effects on species coexistence in tropical cloud forests on Hainan Island, PR China, in which there is environmental stress. I also want to know how the tropical cloud forest species shift and how species coexist under the background of global changes.

Research Interest

I am interested in community ecology and plant evolutionary ecology, especially mechanism of community assembly using knowledge of functional traits and species characters.
