Iris Haimov

Biography

Prof. Iris Haimov has completed her PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel and postdoctoral studies at the School of Biological Science, University of Surrey, UK. She is the director of the Center for Psychobiological Research, The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel.  She has published more than 45 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of the journal: Sleep Medicine Research. Since 2014 she is the member of the Clinic and Academic Committee of the Asian Society of Sleep Medicine (ASSM) and member of the Clinic and Academic Committee of the Israeli Association for Sleep Research. Her Research Interests include focusing on the interplay between sleep control and cognition in older adults, the sleepiness curve, insomnia, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, the relationships between tobacco addiction and sleep quality in healthy subjects, sleep deprivation and processing emotional stimulus, sleep and ADHD.
