Dr. Carlos E. Aucique-Perez graduated in agronomy (2007, Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and with a degree in plant physiology at MSc. (2013, Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brazil) and DSc. (2016, Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brazil) level. I currently researcher (collaborator) associated with the Laboratory of genomics and biotechnology in Embrapa-Agroenergia, Brazil. I have experience in the areas of plant physiology of tropical perennial (e.g. cocoa, coffee, eucalyptus, oil palm, rubber, and sugarcane) and cereal (e.g. maize, rice, sorghum, and wheat) crops of economic importance.
Plant metabolism on biotic and abiotic stress. Mineral nutrition of silicon in plants to relieve stresses. Photosynthetic changes during pathogen infection.
