He hold a Masters of Demography degree and a PhD on Population Studies from Makerere University. He have 25 years of experience of working in tertiary education and research in three public Universities in Africa including Makerere University in Uganda, University of Botswana in Botswana and North-West University-Mafikeng Campus in South Africa. In addition to the degree training programmes, he have attended various capacity building training programmes including in Population and Reproductive Health; Family Planning Policy and Programmes; Statistical Computing; Monitoring and Evaluation of Population and Health projects; Computer Applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point which have greatly enhanced his ability to teach and research effectively.
