Ali Azizi

Biography

Ali Azizi is a Senior Scientist in a vaccine company and working as a faculty member in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He received his PhD in Molecular immunology from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He received several research awards from national and international organizations. He is serving as a reviewer for five journals and also has served as a reviewer for several international AIDS conferences. He developed 2 patents authored 1 book and published 16 articles in peerreviewed journals.

Research Interest

Design and development of candidate vaccines against viral infections. Measurement of innate and adaptive immune responses in mucosal and systemic compartments. Characterization of memory cells after viral infection. Development of oral vehicle delivery systems for targeting M cells.
