Alessandra Guerrini is a Assistant Professor from 2006 of the Pharmacy Faculty at the University of Ferrara. She is member of PhD Teaching Staff in "Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies".
- She develops her research activities about themes pertaining to Pharmaceutical Biology: phytochemical characterization strategies of plant sources particularly interesting for health fields, development and optimization of traditional and innovative extraction methods, supercritical fluid extractions, separative and structural methods (HPLC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, HPTLC) with innovative methods for metabolomic approach; bioactivities of phytocomplexes, fractions and pure compounds to test health efficacy and safety; biotransformation of natural compounds.
- She is now a researcher of the MIUR funded PRIN 2009 (Project of National and International Relevance).
- About ethnobotanical investigations, she co-operated with Polytechnic Salesian University of Quito (Ecuador).
Her research has produced 30 publications (26 papers on ISI certified journals, 4 book chapters) and 22 proceedings in national and international meetings.
