Biography

Dr. Alejandro Iglesias-Linares obtained his Degree in Dentistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela(Spain). He graduated with honors at the University of Seville followed by a Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Center for Applied Medical Research [CIMA] at the University of Navarre. He obtained a PhD at the University of Seville and currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Stomatology at the US. Dr. Iglesias-Linares is a Collaborator Researcher of the Neuroscience Research Group (IBIS), and Visiting Scholar of the Stem Cells and Regenerative Therapies group at the UTHSC College of Dentistry (USA). Dr. Iglesias-Linares is author of more than one hundred scientific contributions: JCR publications, book chapters and contributions to congress.

Research Interest

Dr. Iglesias-Linares has been working on neural crest stem cells obtained from the gut and used to treat Hirschsprung’s disease and he is currently involved in the study of the neurogenic potential of the Dental Stem Cells for neurodegenerative therapies.
