  Rethinking Drug Delivery for the Next Generation of Therapeutics

  Drug delivery has evolved from being viewed as a supporting component of pharmaceutical development to becoming one of the principal determinants of therapeutic success. While considerable attention is often directed toward the discovery of new drug molecules, the manner in which these molecules reach their intended biological targets can be equally important. A highly potent therapeutic agent may fail to produce the desired clinical outcome if it cannot be delivered efficiently, safely, or consistently. This reality has shifted scientific attention toward innovative drug delivery systems that maximize therapeutic benefits while minimizing adverse effects.
