    Organisational Implications of Shifts in In-Vehicle IT Architecture for Incumbent Car Manufacturers

    Notably to exploit the potential of advances in vehicle connectivity and autonomous driving, car manufacturers are adopting centralised in-vehicle IT architectures. The purpose of this paper is to investigate organisational implications of the transition from decentralised to centralised in-vehicle IT architecture for incumbent car manufacturers. An analysis of recent developments of incumbents and new entrants identifies organisational challenges and opportunities.
