Shawn Farrokhi

Biography

Farrokhi enrolled in the University of Southern California (USC) to earn a PhD in Biokinesiology. During this time, he earned two Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) I and two PODS II Scholarships from the Foundation. Ever since,Farrokhi has been privileged to work with a number of “big names” in physical therapy.Shortly after his internship, he began working with Christopher Powers, PT, PhD, at USC to gain more valuable experience in physical therapy research.Farrokhi’s career has taken him from the west to the east coast, where he is currently an assistant professor in the Departments of Physical Therapy and bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
