Sara R Piva

Biography

Sara R Piva is  currently Associate Professor in the Physical Therapy Department at SHRS, University of Pittsburgh. She is the Co-Director of Physical Therapy- Clinical and Translational Research Center -Clinical and Translational Science Institute, University of Pittsburg. She completed her BS in Physical Education, Universidade de Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil, 1984. She is a Specialist in Sports Medicine, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul,   RS, Brazil, 1988. She completed her MS in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy, University of Pittsburgh, PA, 1999 and PhD in rehabilitation sciences from University of Pittsburgh, PA, 2005. She has been honored with various awards.
