Biography
Pragya Gartoulla obtained her M.Sc. Degree in Epidemiology from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand and MA in Anthropology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Her Master's thesis was "Willingness to pay, ability to pay and financial burden for women giving birth by different modes of delivery in Kathmandu, Nepal". She was involved in Nepal Institute of Health Sciences as Lecturer, doing teaching, supervising students for research and organising national research seminars. She has also completed a research study, funded by University Grant Commission, Nepal, which was related to Mental Health knowledge and practices among government health professionals. She has also been involved in different NGO's (RECID/Nepal and SOLID Nepal) working in the sector of Disaster and Public Health and Human Resource for Health, respectively.
 
She is a recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, women's health and public health issues. Her current PhD research is a part of large cross-sectional project "Improving Health of Australian Women at Midlife", specifically looking at "Health behaviours, wellbeing and work performance"
