Paola Rossi

Biography

Professor Paola Rossi is Associate Professor, PhD in Physiological Sciences in the University of Pavia, Italy. Paola Rossi is the group leader of the “Neurobiology and Integrated Physiology Laboratory” of the Department of Biology and Biotechnology “L. Spallanzani” of the University of Pavia, Italy. She is the Director of a second level Master in Human Nutrition in the University of Pavia. She is interested in the neuroscience field and, in particular, in memory processes by using in vitro (patch-clamp in slices) and in vivo approaches (behavioral tests in mice). Now Paola Rossi interest is not only basic research but also applied research. Paola Rossi founded an Academic spin-off named MICONET and she is studying the effect of different medicinal mushrooms on cognition, on oxidative stress and on physical performance in endurance athletes.
