Maria Olea is a Professor for  School of Science and Engineering,Teesside University. She received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in  chemical enginerring .As a Professor.she is a recipient of many awards and grants for her valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. She is the Editor-in-Chief of many peer reviewed journals and his/her area of expertise

Research Interest

Professor Maria Olea's research interests include:

• heterogeneous catalysis - electrocatalysis (structure-activity relationships)
• transient kinetic modeling
• reactor modeling - chemical and electrochemical reactors
• environmental catalysis - enzymatic treatment of waste waters, CO catalytic oxidation and NOx catalytic decomposition, VOCs catalytic elimination, dry reforming of CH4, biomass conversion to chemicals and fuels, recycling technologies
• XAS (XANES and EXAFS)
• optimisation in chemical and electrochemical process.
