  An environmentally benign way for the synthesis of azo dyes was carried out via grinding at room temperature. This green methodology aimed to overcome the limitations and drawbacks of that, previously reported. The new approach represented simple conditions with excellent conversions, and a low-cost practice. The environmental friendship was evidently marked.
