Biography
Dr. Mooyeon Oh-Park, MD, is assistant director of StrokeRehabilitation Research at Kessler Foundation and associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She is also a faculty physiatrist at the West Orange and Saddle Brook Campuses of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Dr. Oh-Park graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and completed her residency training in PMR at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She subsequently earned a master’s degree in clinical research methodology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her academic interest is mobility in patients with chronic conditions (e.g. stroke) and in the aging population and dissemination of interventions in the community. Her clinical expertise includes clinical electrophysiology, neuromuscular imaging, and mobility assessment. Her research work focuses on defining norms of mobility measures, interrelationship between performance based versus patient reported outcome measures in mobility, untangling the constructs of mobility in the physical, emotional,andcognitivedomains. Dr. Oh-Park has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching. The most recent is the 2013 “Teacher of the Year” award from the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Mooyeon Oh-Park has 23 over peer reviewed publications in pubmed.
