This review intends to explore the impact of various levels of exercise intensity on physiological performance in a group of participants undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation. Specifically, this study aims to determine prescribing and monitoring exercise intensity in pulmonary rehabilitation. Although numerous studies have emerged in the past decade revealing the advantages of different aerobic exercise for pulmonary rehabilitation, this review has examined the nature of exercise training as part of a pulmonary rehabilitation programme in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
