Dr. Hiroyuki Takei graduated from Jichi Medical School, Japan in 1986. He completed his surgical residency training in 1990 at Gunma University Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. He then completed his surgical oncology fellowship in 1994 at Gunma University School of Medicine. He was an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Gunma University School of Medicine between 1994 and 2001. He is currently a chief of Division of Breast Surgery, Saitama Cancer Center, Japan. He was an attending scholar of Professor V. Craig Jordan's laboratory in Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, Northwestern University Medical School between 1997 and 1998. His clinical activities are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. He serves as a director of “Japan Comprehensive Cancer Network Breast” and “Saitama Breast Cancer Clinical Study Group”. He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology.
