Dr. DeFaria completed her Internal Medicine Training at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco where she also completed an Echocardiography Fellowship and advanced training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. She currently serves as the Associate Director of the MGH Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program and Co-Director of the MGH Cardiovascular Disease in Pregnancy Service. Her research interests include assessment of RV function in the adult congenital heart population, cardiac disease in pregnancy, and congenital coronary artery anomalies.
