Deborah O Erwin

Biography

 Dr. Erwin came to RPCI in 2006 and is currently Director of the Office of Cancer Health Disparities Research in the Department of Cancer Prevention & Population Sciences. She is a member of the CCSG Population Sciences Program. Dr. Erwin graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1976 with a BA in Anthropology, and received her PhD in Anthropology in 1984 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Prior to her appointment at RPCI, she was Professor in the College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a medical anthropologist advancing community-based research directed toward reducing, eliminating and preventing health disparities.
