Adgar A

Biography

 Dr Adgar studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham followed by an industry-sponsored PhD in Control Engineering at the University of Sunderland. After successfully contributing to and leading several national and European research projects, he joined the Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering group at Teesside University. Adam is an associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a STEM Ambassador. He has also supervised four successful PhD projects. Dr Adgar has published over 70 papers in journals and international conferences in the areas of instrumentation, control systems, process modelling, artificial intelligence and process maintenance. In addition he is a reviewer for many international research journals including Transactions of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing and Automatica. He serves on the international committee of the Congress on Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics Engineering Management.

Research Interest

 Dr Adgar’s research interests include process control and simulation, mathematical modelling, condition monitoring, engineering applications of artificial intelligence and water treatment.
