Abstract

Homoeopathy and its approach in diabetes

Bhupinder Singh

Homoeopathy is a system of medicine discovered and introduced by Dr Samuel Hahnemann who was an MD physician in the prevalent system of medicine from Leipzig, Germany, he was a successful physician but was not satisfied with the prevalent system of treatment in which there was only symptomatic relief but no cure, it was then when he came across the proving of cinchona bark which was used in treatment of malaria and arrived at the conclusion that cinchona cures “malaria because it can produce symptoms of malaria” this unique observation (which was earlier observed by Socrates THE FATHER OF MEDECINE”) led to chain of experiments and discoveries which was put forward by the Stalwarts of homoeopathy ,and after the strict principles and laws which are in unison with the laws of Mother Nature , The homeopathic system came to existence, Homeopathic system dares to differ in its approach towards the treatment of chronic diseases where it is governed by laws of “SIMILIA” and “HERRINGS LAW” which acts as a road map to the direction of cure , a sound knowledge of all the allied medical sciences is necessary to judge the direction of cure and diagnosing the disease, Coming to diabetes we take into consideration the physical symptoms and psychological symptoms involved in the development of disease which includes a procedure known as “case taking” all these symptoms are categorized as per their level of importance and after the proper medicine is selected, pains are taken to observe the follow up of the patient s with utmost care , diabetes being a disorder of the pancreas which is mesodermal in origin when on the road to cure should be going through minor endodermal tissue symptoms like moderate cough coryza and then finally exteriorize through the ectoderm i.e the skin in the form of minor eruptions which get healed easily along with normal sugar levels without any diabetes controlling medicine.
