It is the duty of broker or agent to encourage the investor to purchase mutual fund products and help achieve his financial goals over a period of time. The need and scope for mutual fund operation has increased tremendously with the emphasis in increase in domestic savings and improvement in deployment of investment through markets. It is an alternative option to intermediate between the investors and users of investible resources and is enabling the investors to indirectly participate in the capital markets and reap the gains of adequate diversification and professional management. The vehicle is becoming popular in India and abroad due to higher return, relatively lower risk.
