1979 Dipl.-Ing. electrical Engineering at Damascus University, Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering/Syria.
1985 PhD, Dr.-Ing. „Technology of Electrical Devices“, Ilmenau University of Technology.
1995 Project engineer, throughout participation in a qualifying measure „ Project engineer “in Erfurt.
2005 Habilitation, Dr.-Ing. habil. „Technical Thermodynamics/Refrigeration Technology“
2005 Granting the teach competence (venia legendi) and the title of private lecturer (PD Dr.-Ing. habil.).
Since 01.12.2011 Full Professor at the Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe/Höxter for the department ‘Renewable Energy and Decentralized Energy Supply’.

Research Interest

Renewable energies, especially solar cooling and air conditioning.
Heat supply systems, particularly the heat pumps and combined systems.
Optimization of combined heat and power systems (CHP).
