Dr. María Teresa Zandarín, student of our Department, is awarded the Rocha Medal Share Share on twitter Share on facebook Share on email Share Dr. María Teresa Zandarín, student of our Department, is awarded the Rocha Medal The ISRM Board decided to award the 2012 Rocha Medal to Dr. María Teresa Zandarín for her Ph.D. Thesis, which was developed and defended in the Department of Geotechnical Engineering & Geosciences of the UPC. The thesis (entitled "Thermo-hydro-mechanical Analysis of Joints. A Theoretical and Experimental Study") was directed by Prof. Eduardo Alonso & Prof. Sebastià Olivella, and was chosen from a total of eight thesis presented to the ISRM Secretary for the 2012 Rocha Medal Application. PhD in Geotechnical Engineering Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Spain, November 2010
