François-Michel Boisvert graduated in biochemistry at the University of Montreal in 1998. He then followed with an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2000 (Calgary, Canada) and a PhD in Experimental Medicine in 2005 (McGill University, Montréal, Canada). He conducted postdoctoral training with Professor Angus Lamond at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Since 2011, he is an assistant professor at the Anatomy and Cell Biology department at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada where his laboratory is studying mechanisms of DNA repair, using a combination of quantitative proteomics and fluorescence imaging techniques. He has published more than 30 research articles and has contributed to 10 reviews and book chapters. Together, his work has gathered more than 4,000 citations.
