Abstract :

Purpose: To review scientific literature concepts such as Research, Getting Research into Practice, Evidence Based Practice & Implementation Science. To promote the systematic uptake of research f indings and other EBPs into everyday practice To describe the significance of scientific concepts in nursing excellence and support Magnet recognition Significance: Nursing research could enhance knowledge about nursing practice, healthcare, and health problems. Research is important to develop a culture of inquiry to ensure EBP and nursing interventions are beneficial to patient care. Healthcare systems view EBP as the prestigious standard for providing safe and high-quality care, nursing excellence, and Magnet recognition. However, EBP implementation is inconsistent, and many patients still fail to receive evidence-based care which makes the gap in nursing science implementation into practice wider. Strategy Utilized To fill these gaps in research and practice, the strategy is to improve awareness about scientific literature concepts and the implementation process. These concepts include research, getting research into practice, implementation science, and EBP. The lecture provides descriptions of each concept with definition, significance, methods/process, and implementation. To promote the systematic uptake of research findings and other evidence-based practices into routine practice, implementation science offers the potential to translate effective innovations to EBP. Resources such as supportive leadership, subject experts, mentorship, library access, and time play vital roles in improving nursing science utilized in clinical practice Expected Outcomes Knowing these scientific concepts is important to integrate research into practice to better utilize evidence to deliver safe healthcare. Both leaders and nurses require research and EBP preparation, training, necessary resources, and time to complete the process to shape evidence-based care. Literature reported lack of knowledge, difficulties with the process, time constraints, and staffing issues negatively affect whereas postgraduate degree, formal research/EBP education, collaboration with doctorally prepared nurses, and Magnet culture enhance research/EBP. Knowledge about scientific concepts is needed to achieve leading high-quality, effective, and efficient nursing services Implications for Practice Research and EBP are essential for Magnet recognition and are hallmarks of nursing excellence, however, are complex and challenging processes. Evidence transition to clinical practice cannot become a reality without knowing the scientific literature concepts, leadership support, and resources for implementation.
