Abstract :

The aim of this session is to set the tone and emphasize the importance of primary care and the significant roles of the people practising it. We examine models of delivering Primary care around the world and look into how to deliver excellence in primary care.
We examine the following points:
1-What is Primary care? And progresssive primary care?
2-Why Pirmary care? Why is it so improtant to do it very well?
3-How to do primary care very well across disciplines and domains?
4-Beyond knowledge, skills and attiudes required to deliver excellence in primary care
5-Current models of care examples from around the world
6-Expanding primary care in Asia: South, East and the Middle East
7-Progressive Primary care is leading us to a renaissance in Primary care

Biography :

Houda Ounnas is a primary care physician dually accredited by the Royal college of general practionners of England, United Kingdom and the Royal Australian college of General Practionners. She was a child prodigy who won an international scholarship to study at a British university. She qualified from the University of New castle Upon Tyne, in England in 2007 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She was a quartile one student throughout medical school. Upon qualifying as a doctor, she won herself a place at the very competitive prestigious academic foundation program at the Wessex Deanery, where she developed clinical, research & teaching skills. Her research in head and neck surgery has earnt her nominations for prizes at the Royal college of surgeons of England and at the EAONO-European Academy of Otology and Neuro- Otology in 2008. In 2010, she published research at the British Journal of Oral and maxillofacial surgery. She entered GP Training and qualified with MRCGP, UK in 2013.
