The vascular endothelium plays a fundamental role in maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis, and its dysfunction is rec-ognized as one of the earliest events in the development of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. This presentation examines the molecular mechanisms linking endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and vascular remodeling to coronary artery disease, hypertension, and heart failure.
Recent advances in vascular biology have identified several inflammatory signaling pathways, endothelial biomarkers, and therapeutic targets that contribute to disease progression. The presentation discusses innovative pharmacological strate-gies, anti-inflammatory therapies, and regenerative medicine approaches designed to restore endothelial function and im-prove vascular health. Advances in cardiovascular imaging and biomarker research are also improving early diagnosis and personalized treatment planning.
The session concludes by exploring future opportunities in precision cardiovascular medicine, including gene therapy, en-dothelial regeneration, and artificial intelligence-assisted risk assessment that may transform cardiovascular care over the coming decade.
