Abstract :

According to World Health Organization(WHO) in 2019, Antimicrobial resistance is 1 out of the 10 threats to global health. The term Anti-microbial resistance refers to the ability of the microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi to resist the medicines, which are used for their treatment. This phenomenon is a serious public health issue because, it is takes us back to the times when the health systems were not able to treat infections which their treatment now is a daily routine. The drug resistance is caused by the thoughtless use of antimicrobial drugs in people but also the use of antimicrobial drugs in animals, especially the animals which are intended for consumption and the environment too. A public health policy to fi ght against the drug resistance is to raise awareness and knowledge about this topic and encourage people to use with sensibility the antimicrobials in their life. Moreover, Doctors should not give without consciousness drugs to their patients but instead, they have to think and to act based on an algorithm on antimicrobial resistance.
